This painting was inspired by a unique geological phenomenon: shocked quartz. This type of rock is formed under intense pressure, usually a meteorite impact, but has been found in rare cases from lightning strikes. I think it is important to know that sometimes suffering and hardship can be a way to purify your soul, creating something beautiful.

Great effort has been made to accurately display the image, however, some variations in color due to screen display can occur. All prints are created from photographs of the original painting which allows texture of the original brushwork and canvas to show.
